Born into this world February 13,1987 Douglas "Young Dougie" Kemp is an American artist with a physical appeal that reflects his Belizean culture and a style that exudes his New York swagger. This is where flashy lights meet wittieness and mix well with intelligence. Komrad Entertainment is the family that has become a movement. Musical influences came from his mom, a beautiful Belizean woman that played old school tunes from artist such as Marvin Gaye, Rick James, Smokey Robinson, T.Marie and others while cleaning their small apartment during Young Dougie younger years. Hip Hop albums Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt were the first to mold his style, but the Wu tang Clan during the ninties were a group of various talents that inspired Young Dougie to become experimental with rapping as life obstacles became more obvious. Six children being loved by one mother can bring challenges like financial struggle and neglect. Then the lost of his only brother to the penitentiary and a sports career that gradually faded made music more as a way to constructively vent and cope with life ills. Instead of picking up a gun or drugs to sell Young Dougie chose to pick up the mic and tell his story through the wire.
